Areas in Hendry County where a certain service is needed that does not fall under the regular maintenance accomplished by the Road and Bridge department and does not have funding for those services.  A boundary is determined, a special assessment/user fee imposed and we work to accomplish the project and/or maintain the service. examples are lighting, road maintenance/improvements, drainage maintenance/improvements, garbage pickup/recycling, fire services, recreation, and mosquito control.
